MegaBangna

So, last Sunday is my OFF DAY. Actually is every Sunday is my off day. On the alternate week, it's Saturday and Sunday. I guess I'm a happy kid? Not really. Having off day in the weekend it's not really that nice as we missed out a lot of good promo, for example great deal promo for meal. Usually people provide this deal during off peak. That's why if you have off day during weekday, don't be sad. You can be benefited with many good weekday promo!!

Anyway, back to my story... I went to MegaBangna just to have a look. It's a huge mall with the joint of Big C (supermarket) and IKEA. How cold was that? Remind me of The Curve and Midvalley in Malaysia. Right now they're having great sales everywhere.

The very first apparel shop I went in. Super huge and many sales. I forgot the name. AIO something? Nvm, it's nearby the main entrance.

Can you guess what's this? No? I give you a hint. Young girls like to shop in here.

FOREVER 21. Don't ask me why. I was thinking for a few second why this shop look familiar but the name is a little bit different till I realized. LOL

REDBULLS. Only 10 baht. WTF? But not that sweet compare to Malaysia. You can actually find many product lower price in Big C. Now Enric is asking where is the Big C near to our home. Have to google map it later.

It's actually quite easy to get to this mall. It provides free shuttle from selected BTS. We are lucky enought to stay in Udomsuk, hence we can take free shuttle here at BTS Udomsuk. :D

Damn lucky right? It tooks about 10-20 minutes to arrive, depends on the traffic situation. Anyway, I might bring my friends here. Many great sales is happening right now!!

Is it haze or is it mists?

Last Saturday night, it was quite cold. Not only Saturday but the whole week. I have to wear my pajamas which is a sleeved knee length dress long hippy pants, covered with socks as well as jacket to keep myself warm. I'm like living in somewhere freaking cold but no, I'm in Bangkok.

The next morning, I was so surprised to see this....

Because normally I woke up at 6, I see nothing and when it's 6.30am, I don't look out the window. enric doesn't like bright when he's sleeping.

But this happen at 8am... Can you imagine that? It's like Genting Highland, Malaysia. Lol!

Today was just fine. The weather is not that cold anymore but somehow I'm like paranoid. It's not that cold but I felt it damn cold. I think I'm sick. I hope the weather at night is breezy so I can have a good sleep. I can't sleep in a hot night. It's killing me. Right now it's just moderate but I think it's a little bit warm and humid. I might not wearing jacket tonight.

I hope tomorrow morning will not be that cold! :D

Love that Red

So.... I've been transferred into Front Office now and I am required to put on lipstick. They said that this will makes me look more presentable as receptionist.

As many people know, I don't put lipstick except for some occasion. But I have been thinking to buy a red lipstick since last November until now, I must buy.

My colleague, who is a fan of Revlon (she have a lot of Revlon lipstick), recommended me to buy Revlon. She said that the color will not fade and it's having promotion at the price of 138 baht. Freaking cheap. I was so surprised. I quickly went to Terminal 21 mall two days ago and so coincidentally Enric will be later than 6 to meet up with me at the Asoke station. More time to shop!

I went into Watsons, searching for the best red and I found this!
It's only 178 baht. I didn't buy the 138 baht as the color is not bright and shine enough for me. I went to try it on the second day of work.
Sorry, am still in my pajamas. LOL

I don't know why it looks a little bit dark red but it's red, k?

I'm very surprise that the color really doesn't fade away!! It stayed! I only applied once, and it stayed up to 6 hours, if you're not eating of course. I have to eat in the between of 9 hours.

Tip to remove lipstick (any brand I guess, it works on Revlon): I used Vaseline to remove my lipstick. It tooks me to wipe my lips 2 times, with the repeating steps (apply and wipe). It depends on the moisture of your lipstick. I applied lip balm before lipstick because my lips are lack of moisture. I can't survive without lip balm. I think using Vaseline to remove lipstick is easy and safe as it is 100% pure petroleum jelly and zero harm to health. Once you wiped away the lipstick, you don't feel dry on your lips and you dosn't need to rub. It may hurt your lips cell.

Any way, this color is too awesome! I liked it so much and now I'm decided to buy another color when I got my first salary in Bangkok.

Right now in Watsons, they are having a great sales. If you're in Bangkok now, check it out! I believe you don't wanna miss out any great offers while shopping, right?? Despite allowing customer to choose the vouchers which portrayed outside Watsons, they're having "Buy 1, Free 1" promo too! Feel free to check out their website here for the direct link to Revlon to view available product!!(English is available on the top right)

Matter with landlord

I'm saving money for Valentine's so next month I'm going to be so pok-kai liao. Must save money and start dieting. Talking bout dieting, I've realized that I'm gaining weight. I think I ate too much during break time or maybe I've been in Front Desk makes me gained weight. Last week when I was in housekeeping, I make up almost 15 bed per day (the bed is bloody heavy, okay? It's hotel, not your home normal tilam). So from now on, I must start to diet. Not next month. LOL

I've even calculated how much I could save per month and it's only maximum 1,000 baht. I'm so broke!! It's only the balance after I've deducted the necessary expenses like transport, grocery and rental. That's all. WTF?!

I felt so frustrated when settling matters with the landlord. The electricity bill came on the 17th, earlier than we have expected and the bill was actually for last month consumption. As me and Enric just moved in, it is unacceptable to pay it although the amount is not that huge. We went to pay at the nearest 7 eleven and we were told that we're late and additional 40 baht penalty will be fined and the current usage is 180 baht. Total to pay, 300+ baht. What?!

I informed the agent and he said owner wanted to see the bill. Why? I don't know.

But this is what I think. I've calculated that the first bill received which 50 baht is the usage of 17 November to 17 December. Owner did not settle the bill and additional penalty of 40 baht were added as late payment. As current bill which 200 baht was received on the 17 January is the usage for 17 December up to 17 January. Since we moved in on the 6th, of course we pay the bill starting on the 6th. Takkan we pay all the bill for free for the owner. No right? So I divided the 200 baht to 32 days (17 December to 17 January) for a better calculation. I told the agent to inform the owner and I think owner have a thought of me trying to cheat money. Okay lor... I give you check. He wanted us to put it into mailbox but never pick it up as he said that he will come over on Tuesday/Wednesday. Now is Saturday, it's still in mailbox. Ha-Ha...

I texted the agent and inform that I'm not willing to pay another 40 baht penalty if the owner keep/leave the bill unattended. He said that it is ridiculous for arguing the 40 baht. Excuse me? I'm not arguing, I just wanted to have my right as tenant and it is my responsibilities. I don't want the electrical supply to be cut off. The person who is ridiculous is the owner. Cut off the tv channel without informing. I haven't complain GAO GAO LAT yet. And now wanted to check the bill just to see if we are trying to con his money. Please lah... RM30 only, is not really important for me to argue. It's the matter of word that the owner said will pick up on Tuesday but he did not. If my electrical supply got cut off, I will complain GAO GAO LAT.

Thought to be more....

Every morning routine to walk to the BTS instead of taking the bike which cost about 15 baht. Try to save money and keep fit, so I walked. So every morning, hundred of pigeons were to be seen.

Usually I don't scare them off. But mostly flew away, some stayed.

But one day I've decided to run! Hahaha! I'm so evil. And mean.

So, the manifestation still going on. As you can see the photo (below), they have a concert after 6pm. At 6pm, they sang their national song and continued with artist songs.

The stage and the supporters.... So crowded.

This photo were taken one in the morning I woke up. I don't know why I wanted to looked out from my window (usually closed with curtains).

One of my jobs but this only made if requested. For honeymoon.
Got this from departed guest. Thank you, you made my day!

Yesterday was quite a happy day for me as I got 60baht tips from several guest (sharing with colleague because I'm helping them out). And I'm happy that it was also the last day in housekeeping department. I enjoyed it but it's not my major. I prefer to be in the front line. :D

So, today were my day off and Enric said that his colleague recommended Mo Chit market. It is so hugged when I went there. (Sorry, no photo of the market...)

But you get to see me. LOL

Passing by the Victory Monument. Another manifestation area. Concert available too.

My outcome for the huge market? I only bought two singlets. =_=

Vespa! They have Volkswagen van too but since I prefer Vespa more and Enric advised, I took this. Two for only 100 baht!! Too bad I can't shop much. Enric doesn't seems to enjoy it.

Anyway, will discover more shopping malls and market very soon!!

I don't know what voices outside my window, it sounds like a crying woman or singing mumbling. It's annoying.

Voila, c'est tout. À bientôt.

Bangkok's happening

If you guys don't know, today is the manifestation of Thailand happening in Bangkok. It's called something like Bangkok shutdown. It will be going on for three days... It's gonna be a hectic day for me because I just got transferred to housekeeping and I need to clean up room. And today is just the first day and also the first day of Bangkok shutdown. Tired sial.... 3 days leh...!

Let me show you some photo of the manifestation happened this evening is BTS Asoke & MRT Sukkhumvit.

When I'm on my way... Actually during the morning, I only saw people wearing white. I stopped at BTS Nana so I'm not aware what is actually happen in the main section. Enric asked but I skipped that question. Was too rush during work.

They even set-up a camp. LOL (it's on the top left). Many supporter were there and also inside the Terminal 21 Mall for the air-cond, I guess. It's too hot outside due to many people were there. Gonna see this tmr again. *sigh*

That's all for my news. Bye.

While in the evening....

While having a warm hug, I looked outside and found this. Sunset but without sun. LOL

The photos are arranged from left to right. (I actually took the photo from right to left)

The second and the third photo looks the best. Enjoyed day off much? Not!! I wanted to do shopping so badly!! But Enric keeps saying that I have 4 months time here, why rush? I'm girl. That's why. I can't wait! Grrr!!!

We're going to the gym later as he said that he wanted to visit. I think he just wanted to workout.mlame excuse!

# no title

Every morning when I arrive BTS Nana to go to work, I will pass by this beautiful private garden. The owner is so good that he/she share it to public. It's open to public for some specific hour. I remember closed at 7pm. Not bad. They have some very nice and soft music played in the garden as well.

Took this photo yesterday when I'm going to work.

I'm now in the housekeeping department and I learned to fold the swan! Finally!! There's more like dogs, elephant and so forth, but at least I know the common one! *mine is on the left!!*

Tomorrow is the day of Bangkok shutdown due to riot is going to happen. I hope the BTS and MRT will be like normal. Pleaseeee......

Dear tourist, please be reminded not to join and keep your distance if you don't want to be injured. We don't know what will happen there during manifestation. Oui? Be safe! And keep yourself updated using google! There will be 20 sections of Bangkok will be closed as well. Be reminded!

Hey, I realized something yesterday while doing grocery in tesco. We, the tourist can claimed back VAT tax of 7% if we spend above 2,000 baht! Be aware of your grocery spent! :)

My condo's facilities

I'm too lazy to walk up to the gym because I've been feeling pain in my abdomen.

As you can see in the photo, the ground floor is a mini mart, first floor is empty and the third floor is the gym. If I'm not mistaken, they have dumbbell, treadmill, the bicycle thing and so on.

Mini playground for the children.

Mini one sided basketball for whoever wanna play.

That's the block I lived in.

I don't know how many units per block. There's two types of unit in every floor. My unit has little balcony (I called it pantry) but big space inside, another unit with bigger balcony but smaller space inside.

The pool. Is long-shaped.

Children side.

This condo is not really far from BTS but far from city centre. Not much attraction nearby too. There's supermarket but quite far. It takes us about 15 minutes to there. As you can see in my previous post has a polka pink bag right beside the shoe cabinet, I used it for grocery. Easier to carry my stuff.
*I'm smart*

Notre premiere maison

Bienvenue!

This is where I stay now in, @ City Home, Udomsuk. 10,000 baht per month. Many of my colleagues said its expensive, I agreed but it's because we're here for only 4 months but we hope we can stay more because we wanted to get permanent job before we headed back to France.

18sx. My man is preparing lunch.

On the right is the shoe cabinet and then washroom.

Voila, toilet and scroll down for shower room.

It's not really small but I think it just nice for one person and a baby.

Next, living room.

We have a separated bedroom with living room. This is the door, my dressing table and our bed.

Next to bed, window.

Opposite bed, wardrobe and pantry on the right.

And we had a washing machine. This apartment includes facilities like gym and swimming pool. We'll go there later and I'll take some photo for you guys to see.

Bangkok!

Finally, arrived Bangkok safely on last Saturday, 4th of January. But I'm still stuck in hotel for 3 days.
I haven't made any decision for which apartment to take yet as I wanna ensure that the apartment that I've seen in website matches the real one.

*Walked the whole day, my toe nail broke.*

Spent the whole noon looking for the apartment based on the appointment without any lunch and got only dinner at around 8++pm. The agent later then said 4 months might be not possible to be rented. Enric and I got quite disappointed as I forgot to told the agent in advanced regarding this matter.

We stayed for another night, couldn't move in on Sunday, so we added extra night which cost only RM80 per night and not really far from MRT.

The MRT here is quite expensive. From MRT Suttisan to MRT Sukhumvit cost me 40 baht. Walao-wehh....

The next day, agent called regarding @ City Home is allowed to rent for 4 months. Thanks to the agent!

So me and Enric decided to stay nearby BTS and took the apartment which cost us 10,000 baht per month. Yes, very expensive but we don't have any choice. Anyway, we decided to save money so I came across of buying seasonal pass for BTS/MRT. I believe this is applicable anywhere as I had it in Malaysia and Enric had it in France.

Introduce you, rabbit card. I have not discover this card yet but I have seen a machine with this rabbit card can purchase many things like McDonald. I don't know how because it's in Thai. LOL

Beside the rabbit card, I have Tesco Lotus card to buy meal. They don't take cash. LOL yes, you can keep :) and redeem the balance back.

However, back to rabbit card. I bought 50 trips for 800 baht, I saved a lot but after BTS On Nut to bearing, I have to pay additional 10 baht due to private station. LOL I still save some though.

I had a hectic day. I wasn't aware about my ATM card that I have to activate before I travel outbound so I could withdraw my money. WTF anyway, it was settled. I need to contact my bank to do it. Luckily it wasn't that serious that I had to travel back Malaysia for it.

If you're unaware, go activate you ATM card before traveling outbound. If you're already outbound, contact them directly. Hope it helps. Voila!

This Sunday is going to be my off day, I'm going to swim, wet market, mini shopping outside my apartment, clean the house. :D

I'm not sure if I'm working on Monday as it's a massive shutdown in Bangkok. Big possibility the MRT and BTS might shut down too. :( hope I will be off on that day too. So I can enjoy more!

Anyway, I have to stop now. Been feeling up and down, homesick, ATM problem, gastric for 3 days.
It's killing me. Goodnight people.

Pay & collect

Good day!

So now I'm in Taylor's University. Not to attend any classes but paying fees for my training. How funny was that. The fees paid was to invite those speakers from the industry to give a speech. But for me, they have been invited previously for our training and now, they repeat the same thing. Why paying twice for same thing? Waste of time and money.

Anyway, so I'm here with my last meal (hopefully, with finger crossed) now in Zhia's Kitchen.
With my favorite Jasmine Geen Tea and Bitter Gourd Soup.
Am so gonna miss the meal here because of the so Chinese cuisine and biggest pork restaurant. LOL

Next stop, Thailand Embassy to pick up my visa. Have to wait half an hour because they're having lunch break. Once we get our visa, we are heading back home because I have not stuff my shoes in. I think that I reached 30kg maximum right after I stuffed everything in. So sad that I can't bring my bolster. Hopefully the room that we rented has bolster!

We're checking in hotel for a night because we have not made decision which room to take and we are visiting the room that in our list on Saturday itself when we reached. 3 apartments we found. Hopefully everything is what we saw in the internet otherwise it would be a waste of time after 2 months searching. I found one with 8k baht, apparently it was a con because we asked for the owner identity as a proof due to we have to make a deposit of 4k baht to reserve the room and promised to send it in 20 minutes time. It turns out an hour later, the owner does not respond anymore. So sad. It's so nice and big and it is near to MRT!

Anyway, hopefully everything will be settled on Sunday! Please pray hard for me!

Got to go! Need to queue up for getting in. More and more kiasu people is queuing up especially the three ladies we met yesterday. LOL. I'm so mean. Sorry.

Lunch treat by boyfriend to family

Well, Enric decided to bring my family for a lunch in his favorite restaurant, Din Tai Feng. Somehow I couldn't managed to get him to like Dragon-i. So sad....

I can't remember how much we ate, everyone were so full. Still, their fried rice is the best. Enric can't resists it. Ever time we visited, he will order fried rice, xiao long bao and siu mai. I can even know what he want to order before we enter.

Of course the dishes that he ordered is famous dishes in this restaurant. I prefer Dragon-i's xiao long bao. Mainly all I know that people who dined Dragon-I first will say it's better and vice versa for Din Tai Feng first trial. Hahaha... Not really sure why but the xiao long bao in Dragon-i is very nice and has a lot of juices in it.

A little photo for some entertainment! Just in case you're bored with my flabbery words.

Mommy with the mascot. She has a lot of poses but she wanna remain low profile. LOL

Tadaaaa! Oh, on the day itself before Christmas, his mother sent me a heritage book of Toulouse.
Might be that I have not visited all the place there and I need more informations.

Not only this book she sent, bus a lot of saucisson! Oh my god! I'm drooling right now! Someone please grab me a tissue to wipe my mouth please!

Everyone should try saucisson when they visited France. It's not like "lap cheong" (Chinese dried sausage). Heavenly food!

It's not really that expensive tho. It costs about 3-5 Euros each. I prefer zero-fat saucisson. Taste more meat as those with fats taste like normal Chinese dried sausage. Sorry that I don't have any photo of it but I'll fine it in my Instagram later!

I got to go now. Have to wake up early tomorrow to clear my study fees and collect my visa from Thai embassy. Stay tune for my gossip!

À demain!
