Different culture, different way.

This is me and my boyfriend, a French nationality. We have been together since June 2013 and we're still kinda new to each other.

Now, don't get me wrong. We know each other through attending the same courses except that he's a transfer student from Toulouse Universite. We knew each other as friend, maybe for 3 - 4 months till we hang out.

At first, he wasn't really my type because he look so "kiddo" to me. But after getting to know him ever since he was unable to join a trip to Sabah with me and my other classmates, I start to mock him and promised to get him a souvenir. By then, we're getting closer and closer to each other.

Friends been asking if we had a fight. Yes, we do. But due to languages, I tend to understand the way he acted because he is from another culture. He is more straightforward whereas I don't. I expressed it in another way. I am a very hot-tempered girl and he used to slow down my temper.

Sometimes, due to language barrier, misunderstanding can happen. I do always try to understand that it is his culture, his way and this is how I accepted him for who he is. To be honest, it is quite difficult for me to have a different culture person as my life partner. It depends how strong my determination to give a chance for both of us. It is not easy to find someone who can go crazy with you, understand why you're acting miserable, listen instead of arguing for a point, teasing without tearing.

Oh! By the way, I'm learning french too. Just to have better communication with him as well as his family. I still believe that strong will do brings good result.

I enjoyed spending every seconds of my life with him. It is not easy to have someone in your life as it tooks you time to understand a person again. Fight for the one you love. Life is too short for you to renew every single thing that is going to happen next. Learn as it goes.

 I wish those who are still single, don't worry! Keep searching and at the same time, enjoy the single life!

And for those who are afraid to express your love, be brave! Never try, you'll never know!

Lastly, those who is in a relationship, don't cheat. May you'll be blessed with bundles of joy and happiness!

All you need is patience, understanding, trust, acceptance and committed to each other.

One more thing, don't compare your partner with your friend's. Everyone is limited addition. Keep that in mind.
